Horizon Fitness T101 Treadmill Review

Horizon Fitness T101-04 TreadmillThis review has been fully updated to the latest 2014 model T101-04. The original review was based on the 2012 model.

PROS:

  • Affordable price for the quality.
  • Easy to use.
  • Easy to setup and unfold to put away with HF’s hydraulic folding technology.T101-04 Folding Mechanism
  • The 2.25 CHP motor is super quiet.
  • 30 programming options that include a manual workout, 10 step-goal workouts, 10 distance-based workouts, 6 calorie-goal workouts and 3 intervals workouts.
  • Other positive scores: Sturdy design, automated incline, lifetime frame and motor warranty, and good customer service as reported by owners.

CONS:

  • It’s quite a large machine – 70″ L x 33.5″ W x 55″ H and weighs 165 pounds. You may find it bulky.
  • Annoying peeping sound when you turn on the treadmill, even if the volume button is set to the minimum level. The speakers and beeping are set to the same volume level. As long as you want to listen to music via the speakers, you have to deal with deafening beeps. (Tip: Disconnect wires to speakers if you really can’t tolerate the peeping.)

The Bottom Line:
Horizon Fitness T101-04 can be considered as one of the best entry-level treadmills on the market. At below $700 price tag it’s an excellent buy. This treadmill is best used for heart rate training, weight loss, low impact exercise and performance training.
