Electric and Hydrogen cars are currently the most trending topic in the vehicles industry, right? Electric cars have proven energy consumption benefits combined with the fact that they are safe for the environment.
Hydrogen Cars, on the other hand, offer better mileage and can cover long distances with a single charge. Hydrogen cars are considered to be a cleaner energy alternative for electric vehicles. Here is why?

Hydrogen cars are fuel cells based. Creating hydrogen at the domestic level is much easier and simpler than going with electric alternatives. Hydrogen can be produced from natural sources like wind, solar energy, natural gas etc. The use of hydrogen for this purpose would reduce the use of petroleum resources and would decrease the affect that the emissions from these fuels have on the environment.
Hydrogen based vehicles make use of the renewable energy sources which seems quite promising when you look at the energy future of our planet.
Electric cars may claim to be safe for the environment, but that is just one part of the picture. Electric cars generate more carbon emissions than any other source of fuel for the vehicles. This is because these cars use large batteries for storing the energy. These batteries are made with lithium, nickel, cobalt or graphite and their effects on the environment are not hidden from anyone. So, saying that electric cars are perfectly safe for environment is probably not a good assumption.
Hydrogens vehicles on the other hand, when derived from low emission sources like wind or solar energy offer excellent benefits for the environment. These cars won’t add anything to the pollution burden that our planet is already facing.
The way that hydrogen fuel is made determines the emission of carbon associated with the process. When created with sources that are lower in carbon, it produces little to no carbon emissions which don’t have a noticeable affect on the environment. The process of electrolysis is used to separate hydrogen and oxygen from the water. The process would use electricity from sources like wind or solar energy which would result in lower carbon emission.
Biomasses are also a great source of creating hydrogen for fuel cells. The carbon emissions in this case would also be low as compared with the manufacturing process of large batteries for electric cars.
Longer driving range is another benefit that Hydrogen fueled cars have over electric cars. According to one estimation, a hydrogen fueled car would have a 30% more driving range than an electric car with the same features.
Once the proper system is set in place for Hydrogen cars refueling and efficient storage, these cars would deliver a remarkable performance. And we are already seeing the affects of it with the latest Hydrogen cars releases.
The fuel storage for Hydrogen Cars is a bit of a problem because there are just not many Hydrogen fueling stations out there. To fullfil this problem the hydrogen fueling stations manufacturer PDC Machines compnay is on the way. But once things start picking up, Hydrogen Vehicles do seem like they have a promising future.
Hydrogen can be produced from a wide range of diverse local resources with little to no emission of carbon. Once a hydrogen car starts up, it only generates water vapor and warm air.
Transportation industry uses a big share of the fuel resources, and the emissions generated by these vehicles are also at a much bigger scale. When these vehicles use Hydrogen fuel cells, it can have a huge positive impact on the environment. But for that to happen, Hydrogen Cars need to be used at the transportation level.
Although this seems like a long way to come, the trend for hydrogen vehicle has the potential of becoming a success. It would be better if investors start thinking about these cars as means of transportation to finally see how better things will get with these cars.
Hydrogen Cars don’t create carbon emissions, even their manufacturing process produces little to no carbon emissions. Electric cars on the other hand do produce carbon as a result of the manufacturing of batteries used to operate these cars. Although more in-depth discussion can be done on this topic, Hydrogen cars currently seem to be a better choice for serving and preserving the environment.
